What are Activated Probiotics Biome Dental Sachet Sticks?
The health of the oral microbiome influences many aspects of oral health. The composition and balance of bacteria within oral biofilms alters the production of acidic, alkali and antimicrobial metabolites and the immune system's inflammatory response, influencing the risk of dental cavities, gingivitis and periodontal disease.
Biome Dental Probiotic is a combination of four specific probiotic strains which have been shown to support tooth and gum health via their beneficial effects on the oral microbiome across 7 clinical trials. In one randomised placebo-controlled trial where 60 healthy children took Biome Dental once a day before bed, significant improvements in gum health and reduced dental plaque by 69% and significantly improved gum health, with a 68% reduction in gingival index (a measure of poor gum health). When compared to both placebo and chlorhexidine mouthwash, there were significantly greater improvements following the use of Biome Dental after 15 days. Biome Dental Probiotic has also been found to provide similar significant benefits in clinical trials involving adults.
How to use Activated Probiotics Biome Dental Sachet Sticks
Adults and children over 5 years: take 1 sachet nightly before bed, after brushing teeth and completing any other oral hygiene practises. Pour the contents of the sachet directly into the mouth, and swish around until dissolved. Avoid rinsing, drinking or eating for at least 30 minutes to allow the contents to coat oral surfaces.
