I've been really impressed with this product. I don't have bad acne but am prone to nasty hormonal breakouts that can last for weeks. Using
...the astringent helps eradicate some of the smaller spots completely and calm the bad ones very quickly. It does tingle a little, but with the high concentration of salicylic acid, that is to be expected. I've noticed people saying the astringent worsened acne on sensitive skin or dried it out... the astringent uses the highest concentration of salicylic acid you can use, it is very strong and should be used sparingly and exactly as instructed (by dapping it on with a clean cloth). I have sensitive skin as well, I only use it when breakout starts and I stop when the breakout and cystic spots are under control. I also follow with vitamin cream at night time and rosehip oil in the morning. But again, you don't need a lot to make it affective. I would say people with sensitive skin should definitely not use it regularly.

I would think I would have it under control and then the next morning I would have more pimples showing up. I was looking for an actual acne fighting product. I think I spent about 15 minutes reading the back, reading all the other products, watching reviews, reading reviews and asking my fiancé what he thought. Finally he told me just get it, so I did. I use it once in the morning and once at night. its been a daily thing for me this last week. I saw improvements within a few days. now at the week mark, I have barely anything left from the original nasty breakout and it has kept the new ones at bay. It is very hydrating and doesn’t dry out my skin, although since my skin is very oily it is hard to tell. I have combination sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate my skin at all, it does kind of tingle though. This makes breakouts disappear so fast and really dries them out over night. If I have a really bad zit i'll even dab this on it in the morning and it'll either be gone or almost gone by night! It has a strong smell to it, like it smells like a product meant to treat breakouts; but not a chemical smell, more like a strong tea tree/witchhazel smell, but it goes away once applied.

I have not used it with makeup but I do not think it would work well unless the product was hydrating. It absorbs well and works for most of the day. I like using it for my acne and if my skin feels clogged up with dirt from being outside. It leaves your skin feeling shiny and clean I will say my only complaint is the smell of it.
