CeraVe Sa Smoothing Cream for Dry, Rough and Bumpy Skin:
CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream is a well-formulated and rich moisturising cream that gently exfoliants the skin for a soft, smooth and even texture. Developed with Dermatologists, this SA Smoothing Cream contains skin-loving ingredients for dry skin such as Urea and Salicylic Acid to gently exfolate dead skin cells and smooth the skin's texture. This moisturising cream has been well-loved by those with skin conditions such as Keratosis Pilaris and Psoriasis!
Key Ingredients In CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream:
Urea (10%): A humectant like Hyaluronic Acid, which means it attracts and locks in moisture. This hydrates drier areas of the skin and smooth the skins texture, whilst helping to reduce the build up of dead skin cells with clog pores.
Salicylic Acid: A beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) that gently exfolaites the skin targeting pimples and blackheads, and helps to soften dry, rough skin. This allows the SA Moisturising cream to be free from physical exfoliants (microbeads), which can irritate the skin.
Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid is a humectant that helps to attract moisture, it has an important role in maintaining the skin's moisture levels to keep it hydrated.
LHA: A Lipohydroxy acid, derived from salicylic acid and has a similar purpose to it. LHA'S are more fat soluble and they penetrate the skin more slowly. Therefore, they are useful for exfoliating sensitive skin.
CeraVe's 3 Essential Ceramides: Helps to restore the skin's lipids (oils) and protect the skin's natural barrier.
Developed with Dermatologists - qualified skincare experts

What Are Ceramides And Why Are They Important In Skincare?
Ceramides are lipids (oils) which make up 50% of our skin, meaning they play an essential role in having healthy skin! Sometimes our ceramide levels can be low due a range of factors such as pollution, skin conditions like eczema, diet and more. When these levels are low or damaged, our skin's barrier will appear irritated; itchy, dry, and uncomfortable.
All CeraVe products contain 3 essential ceramides (1, 3 and 6-II) which help to restore our skin's lipids and thus, protecting our skin's natural barrier.
Directions For Use:
For use only on the body. Apply liberally, and as often as needed.
We recommend applying straight after the shower, to replenish the skin’s surface and gently exfoliate. Use in conjunction with the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser to enhance results!

Used this on my arms as I suffer from Keratosis Pilaris and had seen the cream recommended for this condition. I used it 2 or 3 times and I can see so
...me of the bumps fading slightly, and with consistent use this looks promising. However, I didn't like that it feels a bit sticky, even in the morning after applying it the night before. It also caused some itching which was not very pleasant. I will continue using a couple times per week and potentially increase use over time if the itching subsides.

This cream did the job of getting rid of the lumps and bumps, unfortunately, even though I did a patch test, when it came to putting it on the decolle
...tage area, It caused the skin to burn and left it very red. The skin ended up looking like I had caught the sun. I love the smell and the fact that it did the job, but, as I cannot use it due to its reaction on my skin, it is rather useless to me. I guess I will need to keep looking.

This cream is so thick and well creamy, it’s awesome! It lasts a very long time because a little really does go along way. It seems pricey but given
... how long it lasts, it really isn’t. Mine has lasted close to a year!

This salicylic acid cream is great for people who have those little non acne bumps on their face. The first time I used this product it did have a lit
...tle bit of a tingle/sting because of the salicylic acid but the results outweigh that and after just a few uses the tingling sensation goes away.

I picked a container of this up because I read that it was really useful for getting rid of “strawberry patches” on the leg. A couple of weeks in,
... and I am in love. I can definitely notice a difference in both the softness and appearance of my skin. I’m hoping to find a skin lotion/moisturizer from this line as well.

Everybody needs to have this cream in their homes. It has a very rich consistency, you can apply it on face and body, so, you kill two birds with one
...stone! It helps to heal the skin after a hot day and is suitable for sensitive skin

I bought this for keratosis pilaris on my arms and thighs. Did a good job smoothing out my thighs but couldn't do much for my arms, although few
...things can. It also smoothed the KP on my face, and didn't cause any breakouts, but I am not acne-prone.
Ended up using it on my feet and it smoothed out the dry skin, but if your feet are severely dry and cracked you will probably need something stronger.

I have been genetically blessed with keratosis pilaris on my face (specifically checks and nose). This condition causes red skin and small bumps to fo
...rm on the skin. Unfortunately there is no "quick fix" and is a condition you'll have to life. I have tried everything to help minimize the bumbs on my face with minimal success until this. Within a matter of a week this cream has helped to reduce redness and clear up many of the bumps! The one thing to be cautious about is that it can make your skin sensitive to the sun so pair this with sunscreen!

This lotion saved my skin during pregnancy! It is thick but nothing else worked! I highly recommend this product.

I love this product for my dry skin and feet. I always always put a creme on my feet after I shower and sometimes my body depending how dry I am. This
This is a moisturizing cream best used for medical reasons rather than aesthetic ones. It is not scented. It smells faintly like the leather on an old
... car seat that'd been sat in by a sweaty person for several years before he sold it to a used car dealer where it sat in the lot without anyone buying it for a while. Still, this smell is not particularly pronounced, and won't be particularly bothersome. The cream will also leave residue on everything you touch unless you put food-grade/vinyl gloves on to help keep the cream locked onto your hands and off of everything else.
However, if you can deal with the mildly-unpleasant smell and the need to wear gloves to keep it from staining things, this cream will do wonders for your hands. With just a few applications it can do incredible work repairing broken, irritated, and scraped skin. Just make sure your hands are totally clean before you apply this, and wear vinyl gloves to help protect both your hands and everything else. I cannot stress the need for gloves enough.
At the end of the day, this product is fantastic for doing what it's supposed to do, and that's all it cares to do. Which is totally fine for me! A product that does what it's supposed to and does it well is a product that makes me very happy.

I work in an environment (restuarant kitchen) where my hands are constantly and unavoidably exposed to skin-damaging chemical solutions, such as glass
... cleaner, hot dish soap, J-512 enzyme sanitizer, and diluted bleach. Putting a teaspoon of this on my hands every night before bed - then covering them in vinyl gloves to help lock in the cream and moisture and keep it from staining my sheets - helps me wake up the next day with healthier and repaired skin on my hands.

I've been using this for a few weeks now and really like it. I have fairly mild psoriasis on my forearms. This cream is thick and hydrating enoug
...h to use it as a winter hand cream, but it also hydrates my psoriasis patches and the acids in the cream keep the psoriasis flakes exfoliated. I also like that it absorbs well and doesn't leave a greasy or sticky feel. At first, the cream turned my psoriasis patches pink and made them more noticeable, but I kept using it, and after a few days, the pink was gone and the patches are much less noticeable. I just need to remember to use it every day, preferable twice a day. This seems to do the trick better than just once a day.

I have a very dry face and my dermatologist recommended this lotion. It clears up any deallt dry patches almost over night. It’s really great in tha
...t respect. It does sometimes feel like it leaves a slightly sticky residue though, but it doesn’t bother me enough that I’ll stop using it.
