I've never used cream eye shadows before but a Clarins demonstrator showed me how easy they were, and even look good on someone my age (45). I
...39;ve always tended to avoid plums and pinks on my dark brown eyes, in the mistaken belief that they'd make my eyes look red and sore. So it was a great surprise to discover that this isn't the case!
I tend to use this silver plum colour as an eyelid base, to keep my powder shadows from "slipping". I use a flat brush for application and then "press" it across the whole eyelid. I then buff it out a little. This reveals more of the metallic in the colour.
I must admit, using a brush is possibly not the best way to use this, nor the easiest. I do tend to have to load the brush quite considerably, which is probably its only downside. However, I'm so in love with these creams that I now have four colours to choose from.
The silver plum is a great base for an evening look - I wouldn't use it in the day as it is too rich. It works very well when incorporated into a "smoky eye" look. It's one I'd replace when this one has run out, for sure!

treated myself to this new product during the 25% promo in the pink & green shades for my hazel eyes. these are lovely colours. i am wary about we
...aring heavy eyemakeup now i'm 44, but these are lovely. you can apply with fingertips for gentle everyday colour, or i used an eyeshadow shader recently for a night out, for a more "effort" look. both applications were great & it does stay on without creasing & doesnt look cakey at all like some powders can. (its a cream to powder eyeshadow btw) great product.

This is quite a small product, but very high impact! The colour (bought blue lagoon) is highly pigmented and the sparkle effect is immediately obvious
... - you don't need to build this up. Wow! The blue has a slight purple tinge to it, which I like and is exactly what I wanted. Only minor problem is when you take it off you get little bits of glitter all over your face, but they are easily cleaned off.
