About the Plants

Cinchona

The Cinchona tree, native to South America, is traditionally used for its strengthening and revitalising properties. Klorane Laboratories selected an extract of red Cinchona (Cinchona calisaya Wedd.) because its bark is rich in Quinine, a molecule with powerful, scientifically shown and patented stimulating properties.

Organic Edelweiss

Grown on Alpine mountain tops, Edelweiss is known for its resistance to extreme conditions. Klorane sources its Edelweiss from organic crops in Switzerland, ensuring a fair trade supply chain certified by Ecocert. The aerial parts of the plant are harvested by hand and dried by local farmers.

For over 25 years, Klorane has been committed to the Klorane Botanical Foundation, which fosters a passion for botany and is dedicated to preserving and promoting plant heritage. The Foundation's missions include protecting plant species under threat, exploring plant treasures, and sharing botanical knowledge with the public, especially children.
