Lepicol Plus+, Food Supplement 3 in 1 formulation, high in fibre containing inulin, live bacteria and digestive enzymes Fibre for health. Fibre is a key part of our dietary intake to ensure we maintain a healthy bowel. Not eating enough fibre can lead to digestive problems such as constipation and other chronic digestive disorders.
Key benefits:
Lepicol is a multi-fibre source product containing gentle psyllium husk, as well as inulin which is a prebiotic fibre source. Together, these two ingredients go a long way to help provide your recommended daily intake of fibre - something that many of us lack with the modern diet.
The third key ingredient of Lepicol are 5 probiotic strains. These bacteria help to balance the microflora in your digestive tract. Lepicol plus+ has the extra benefit of digestive enzymes.
Directions:
It is recommended to take Lepicol 25-30 minutes before a meal. Shake pot to ensure the ingredients are properly mixed.
Adults - Mix 2 heaped teaspoons (10g) with one mug of water or fruit juice (200- 250ml) and consume immediately. This should then be followed with a further mug of water or fruit juice. Do this twice daily. After 2 weeks you can adjust the dosage according to your requirements always remembering to consume the correct amount of liquid. (for every heaped teaspoon you will require one mug of liquid in total) some might find it necessary to stay on this dosage, others may require less.
Children - Mix 1 heaped teaspoon (5g) with a mug of water or fruit juice and consume immediately. It is important to always follow this with further cup of water or fruit juice. Do this twice daily.
Parents should seek the guidance of a practitioner before giving to children under 11 years Liquid Intake - Aim to consume 200-250ml water or fruit juice for every heaped teaspoon of Lepicol Guaranteed
Allergy advice - Contains traces of milk and soya at a level which does not affect lactose intolerance sufferers.
Taking Lepicol without water could cause choking, keep out of reach of children, if at anytime you experience discomfort after taking Lepicol simply reduce the intake until this disappears. The intake can then be increased gradually. If you have recently had intestinal surgery or have any intestinal obstruction, consult your doctor before taking Lepicol.

My husband went through all the tests with a GI consultant and is formally diagnosed with severe IBS. This product, alongside kefir, is what the consu
...ltant told us to buy and use regularly.
It isn't supposed to taste amazing, my husband adds some squash. But it's made a massive difference and he suffers far fewer flare-ups, and when he does get them (because there's so many shifting and changing food items that sets off the IBS), they're now manageable, sometimes even mild.
If this is what a specialised consultant recommends, it's worth a try, right? IBS is an utterly miserable condition, so we're very pleased that this is so easy to purchase through Amazon. The price isn't so big when you consider that a tub can last a few weeks (depending on how often you take it), which is cheaper than buying probiotic foods and has the added benefit of fibre.

Since no one I know eats the required amount of fibre per day , this handy item will fill in the gaps. I take this every day and my bowels have never
...been so regular .When I first took it I expected to see my childhood items - the odd half crayon , a piece of chalk - not an old penny - they were too big then !! I expected to have a good clear out is what I'm getting at :) When I went it was satisfying shall we say ! I didn't need to run to the toilet but when I did go it was a no strainer !everything as it should be I realised this is what my diet had been short of .
I take a big heaped tea spoon every night about 7 .You have to have 2 glasses of water with it as the fibre needs to swell to carry everything through ( a bit like Draino for pipes ) .I soon gave up having it plain .I have it whizzed up with tomato juice or in a nice flavoured protein shake. It comes in handy sachet form and I have taken Lepicol with overseas and wouldn't be without it .

I bought this because I suffer from occasional constipation, and thought it was a good way to encourage me to drink extra water that also contains nat
...ural fiber and probiotics. The taste was okay for me, as I'm used to drinking 'woody' teas, which I'd compare the Lepicol flavor to. Maybe for those who don't like the taste, you could squeeze some orange (or similar) in. The packet advises starting at a low dose, and so I tried half a sachet. I'm not sure if it was because of the sachet, but within 30 minutes of consuming, I needed the loo.
I don't have critical bowel problems, so it's hard to justify buying this product on a regular basis at the price. My plan is just to take one sachet per week or per month depending on the need, so as to make the box last. I can also envisage the product being useful when traveling, as I tend not to drink much on long journeys, and then end up being prone to constipation for a few days after that. Worth at least trying if you are trying to find a natural digestion/bowel aid and haven't tried this yet.

I've been using Lepicol plus powder for 10 years now, so think I can give a very honest review on it.
It is the only product I have found (and I
...'ve tried an awful lot) that keeps me regular and does NOT give me any stomach pains. Which if you've tried every thing possible like me, you'll know some laxatives on the market can give you excruciating stabbing stomach pains. So that is a really important part of lepicol - how gentle but effective I've found it.
Every morning I drink one glass of fruit juice and 2 TSP of lepicol (continually stirring as I drink), followed by a glass of water.
I have to wait approx 45mins before I can eat any breakfast because it does make me feel very bloated.
I'm gonna be honest, it has a a bit of a strange taste but as long as you drink fruit juice with it you can't notice.

There is nothing to dislike about this product because it works! It has no flavour and the texture of it isn’t great! Imagine sawdust in water!! But
... I don’t care it works! I’ve tried Fybrogel and Metamucil. Both slightly more pleasant in that they are both citrus flavoured. But would rather take something without the artificial flavourings!!

I wanted to increase my fibre intake and also clear out my sluggish digestive system so bought this after reading the reviews. I wasn't disappoin
...ted! This literally worked overnight after only one scoop. It doesn't really have a flavour, but I find the texture unpleasant as it doesn't mix well in to liquid, rather just makes a thick grainy sludge. The first time, I added it to my usual protein shake, but it changed the texture of the shake making it far less enjoyable. Since then I've taken it as more of a shot mixed with about 200ml of water, and then flushed down with nearly a pint of water, and having my shake separately afterwards.
