Various related species of pau d'arco trees grow in rain forests throughout Latin America. The bark is used for medical purposes.Native peoples in Central and South America reportedly use pau d'arco bark to treat cancer, lupus, infectious diseases, wounds, and many other health conditions. Caribbean folk healers use the leaf of this tree in addition to the bark for the treatment of backache, toothache, sexually transmitted diseases, and as an aphrodisiac.
Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement take 1-2 ml (approx. 28-56 drops) 3 times a day in a small amount of water.

I'm not a doctor. I won't tell you to drink this stuff, but I started adding just a few drops to a full glass of water everyday, and I do notice a healthier gut.

IMO, Pau d'Arco is MUCH more effective than echinacea. It is a very undersung natural antibiotic and antifungal.

I started him 2 drops and built these up to 5 a day which I put in his food with acidophilus. (it took 5 drops to stop the scratching and itching) it was easy to tell when the dose was right for him.
AMAZING!! He became a lot more comfortable after a couple of days. A lady in America has written that the underlying condition will get worse before it improves - 2 weeks. (This was absolutely right)..I kept the drops going despite having reservations. I am very glad I did because 'My old dog is behaving like a puppy'.
