After getting over the initial dismay, I searched for a decent supplement to aid my sluggish digestion. Ultra-Zyme is gentle and helps maintain some normalcy. I have a very healthy diet and lifestyle, yet I did not feel fully nourished. When the gall bladder is removed the bile does not perform efficiently (it just "drips" in small amounts from the liver through a duct leading to the upper intestine) so many foods are not broken down enough to be fully assimilated by the body. I am not a doctor, but I seriously feel much better!

...ing under the sun for IBS-D, this product is out of this world. Similar to what one reviewer had written, there's something in this, that works like no other digestive enzyme.. I've taken this now for 8 days.. i can honestly say, it works.. i do not have issues of urgency, or abdominal discomfort, or worrying about whether i can eat this or that. I found i still had a hard time with wheat, but just took an extra pill.
The bottle says take 2 a day .. in the morning. I take a pill before every meal.
I want to end by saying this.. if you are suffering from digestive probs, or diarrhea from eating... you really need to try this product.

Some days (and at some times during the day), foods may not sit well at all. It isn't always predictable. My doctor suggested probiotics but a friend suggested I also try digestive enzymes. I ran this product past my doctor and got approval to give it a try -- and it has really helped me. I take it in the morning and can now enjoy that longed-for cup of coffee without problems.

After I had surgery to remove my gall bladder I ended up with a really big problem. A constant loose bowel that left me dehydrated, weak and in ALOT o
...f pain and it was getting worse. My doctor did not even know what to do to help me!! I went to my chiropractor one day and was barely able to move because I could NOT eat anything because it would send me to the bathroom. My chiropractor asked what was going on and so I told him and he told me I needed some acidophilus and LOTS of it. So went to a store and bought a bottle of supplimental acidophilus as I could not eat yogurt. Then when I got home I went online did some research and I found that I also probably needed some enzymes to also aid in digestion since I was lacking an organ that usually helped with this stuff. I searched really hard and Ultra-Zyme by Nature's Plus was the BEST one I had tried. After a few months of changing my diet, using Ultra-Zyme, and other suppliments like vitamins, extra aciophilus and Omega-3 oils I was finally able to bring some balance back to my body. I still can not eat alot of fatty food or tomatoes a whole lot but I can once again eat pretty much anything in really small amounts which ok with me as I eat 5 small meals a day any way. Ultra-Zyme is kind of expensive but when I tried several other enzyme suppliments they just did not work as well and tasted bitter when I swallowed them. Ultra-Zyme is easy to swallow and did not contain anything that would cause allergy reaction. I think it is a great product.
