The friendly bacteria used in Lactobacillus & Bifidus for Pregnancy have been specifically selected with the specific needs of a pregnant woman in mind. This product contains 10 billion of the Lab4b group of friendly bacteria used in the Swansea Baby Study. ProVen Lactobacillus & Bifidus for Pregnancy can be taken throughout pregnancy and also whilst breast feeding to help maintain healthy wellbeing for you and the new arrival.
It is now recognised that healthy bacteria are just as important to the new born baby as to adults and that the establishment of a robust population of friendly microflora as soon after birth as possible is critical in driving the development of a healthy immune and intestinal function. However, it is now acknowledged that modern living conditions, particularly for the new born baby, may inhibit or slow down the natural development of the normal flora, and that this process needs a ‘boost ‘ to help immune and digestive development. Evidence now suggests that the acquisition of a beneficial flora in the new born can be influenced by the mother. ProVen Lactobacillus & Bifidus for Pregnancy will help support immune and digestive function of the mother during the pregnancy term.
