...ow. *Touchwood* I have had zero problems with Solgar which is a massive relief as I need to keep my immune boosted as I have complex disabilities and I don't need anything more compounding me. My only gripe is I wish the capsules were a bit smaller as I do find it difficult to swallow, a recurring issue I find with many of Solgars vitamins. A small price to pay though for actually having a Vit C that doesn't cause me to have a stomach ache.

... are up there in strength with the dissolvable effervescent ones which are 1000 mg. This super strength is ideal for reducing the amount of time it takes to recover from a cold, And also to maintain general good health. I'm pleased to see that they are also vegan friendly.

...y a small part of real (natural) vitamin C (like the peel, rather than the whole orange). It should be illegal to call ascorbic acid "vitamin C" as ascorbic acid is NOT vitamin C. It's more like the envelope of the vitamin C molecule, but the same huge machinery and lakes of money that is spent on telling us cholesterol is dangerous is also spent on telling us that ascorbic acid is vitamin C.
Ascorbic acid and other synthetic vitamin C products act like drugs in the system and also leach natural vitamin C out of the body. Real C is ONLY full spectrum, natural C such as the Innate Response Formulas, Vitamin C-400 (but that is made from citrus so anyone intolerant of citrus might try camu camu). The problem with even supplements made from real food is that they have to be dried and the processing into pills destroys much goodness.
I'm now eating half a large orange daily for my vitamin C as suggested in "Calcium Lie 2", where it is also explained that oranges must be picked ripe, so the usual problem with fruit is avoided (fruit from abroad is normally picked green and ripens in the dark, while it is being shipped, so has very little nutrition).
